Headspring Investment and National Sages Golf in partnership

Headspring Investments has entered into a partnership with Gobabis Golf Club to host the Sages National Championship in Gobabis on 7 and 8 June 2024.  Over 60 golfers, of over 50 years of age and older, will battle it out for top honours over two rounds, being 36 holes.

An exciting development this year is that the auction afterwards will not only benefit the club, but also a charitable cause in the Epukiro Constituency.

Hon. Paki Pakarae, Councillor for Epukiro Constituency has appreciated that a charitable organization in his constituency will be the beneficiary of the National Sages Championship.  “It is good to see how Sports Code together with its sponsor can work together to bring relief to the people of Epukiro constituency.  Through this gesture, the plight of my constituency will come into the limelight as all golfers from across the country will know that by bidding at the auction, some of the money they spend will go to a very good cause,” Mr. Pakarae said.

The Chairman of the Gobabis Golf Club, hosting the National Championship, was thankful to receive the sponsorship from Headspring Investment.  Mr Johny Lewis said that the company have shown commitment towards Namibia, by being our title sponsor for the second year in a row. “It tells me that the company is serious and sincere about their project and that, when the mine is in operation, the region will reap significant benefits”, he concluded.

Riaan van Rooyen, spokesperson for Headspring Investments, explained that this year the sponsorship agreement stipulates that 20% of the money raised through an auction to be held on the second day of the tournament, will be used to support a charitable cause in the Epukiro constituency.  “We are proud to be associated with an event of this nature. Golf is being used to expose the participants who are from all over Namibia, to also learn about the circumstances of Namibians in other parts of where they are from, leading to a better understanding of each other”.
