Uranium mining is conducted using the high-tech “Smart Mine” platform, equipped with sensors that monitor all parameters of the production and extraction process. If the slightest deviation in parameters is detected, the automation is triggered immediately, and all operations are halted until the detected anomalies are fully resolved.

The leaching solution used is very weak, with an acidity (pH) similar to red wine or lemon juice. The mining solution is continuously recycled in a closed loop to minimize water use, waste, and environmental impact. Its chemical composition is constant.

Scientific evidence should be the key factor in determining the commencement of the proposed Uranium One project at Leonardville rather than conflicting opinions. 

On 13 August, Rosatom’s sixth international Arctic expedition “Icebreaker of Knowledge” set sail from Murmansk. This expedition has been organized by the Atomic Energy Information Centres network with the support of Rosatom. It is dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Russia’s nuclear industry and the 500th anniversary since the beginning of the development of the Northern Sea Route.

Hosted by the Namibian Chamber of Mines, the event saw unprecedented demand, extending to three days with 198 companies occupying 335 booths – a new attendance record.

In May 2025, Headspring Investments proudly joined Namibians in commemorating National Tree Planting Day, a meaningful celebration dedicated to honouring the legacy of His Excellency Dr. Sam Nujoma, Namibia’s Founding President. Over the course of two impactful days, we partnered with community leaders, educators, learners, and environmental advocates across the Omaheke Region to not only plant trees but also plant seeds of sustainability, education, and unity.

From May 20 to 22, 2025, the international exhibition and conference Enlit Africa-2025, dedicated to discussing innovations, sustainable development, and the transformation of energy systems across the continent, took place in Cape Town, South Africa. Representatives of Headspring Investments, as part of the delegation from the Rosatom State Corporation, participated in the event, presenting an innovative regional solution: In-Situ Recovery (ISR) technology for uranium extraction.

Rosatom’s mining division, Dalur JSC, has achieved a significant milestone with the successful launch of uranium production at the Dobrovolnoye deposit in Russia’s Kurgan Region. Utilizing the environmentally responsible In-Situ Recovery (ISR) method, the company has delivered its first batch of uranium product to support Russia’s nuclear energy sector. This achievement underscores Dalur’s leadership in sustainable mining and aligns with global trends toward cleaner energy solutions.
