Headspring Investments showcases uranium project at Russia-Namibia Business Forum

Headspring Investments representatives participated in the business programme of the Russia-Namibia Business Forum and the 11th meeting of the Russia-Namibia Intergovernmental Commission (IGC) on Trade and Economic Cooperation, held in Windhoek from 13 to 16 March 2026.
The events were organised at the initiative of the Namibian side and under the authority of Yury Trutnev, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation and Presidential Plenipotentiary envoy to the Far Eastern Federal District, who chairs the Russian section of the Intergovernmental Commission. The Namibian section was chaired by Selma Ashipala-Musavyi, Minister of International Relations and Trade of the Republic of Namibia.
During the meetings, the parties reaffirmed their commitment to expanding practical cooperation. Discussions focused on deepening collaboration in subsoil use, particularly uranium projects, as well as further cooperation in the peaceful use of nuclear energy. Rosatom and its subsidiaries view Namibia as a strategic partner in uranium mining and developing a low-carbon energy mix.
During the Intergovernmental Commission meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation noted that Russia is ready to continue implementing the “Wings” uranium development project in Namibia, in line with the most stringent modern environmental standards.
“Rosatom possesses cutting-edge technologies and is a global leader in a number of areas, operating in more than 60 countries. The uranium extraction method proposed by Rosatom in Namibia is currently used in 60% of uranium deposits worldwide. The full-scale implementation of the project will fundamentally transform the nature of economic relations,” noted Yuri Trutnev, as quoted by TASS.
The Headspring Investments uranium project was also presented as part of the business forum programme. In his remarks, Headspring Investments Managing Director Kirill Egorov-Kirillov emphasised that, drawing on both international and in-house expertise, the company offers a modern and safe model for developing underground resources at the Namibian site. The model is based on preserving natural ecosystems, applying scientific advances, and ensuring environmental safety.
“We are proud to represent the ‘Wings’ uranium mining project at this important event, showcasing the advanced technologies that make this initiative both innovative and sustainable. Our goal is to deliver a project that serves as a model for combining economic development with environmental stewardship and social responsibility. Our approach is based on scientific research, regulatory oversight, and transparent engagement. The company remains committed to constructive dialogue with regulators, local communities, and the public to promote responsible resource management,” commented Headspring Investments Managing Director Kirill Egorov-Kirillov.
Headspring Investments believes that the Intergovernmental Commission meeting and business forum in Windhoek will help advance joint initiatives and provide additional momentum for practical cooperation between Russian and Namibian companies.
During the events, the Russian and Namibian sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening mutually beneficial cooperation across various areas and noted the significant potential for further development of trade, economic, investment, humanitarian, and other ties.
