The Omaheke Awareness Campaign

The Omaheke Awareness Campaign, held from October 16 to 18, 2024, was a truly inspiring initiative brought to life by us at Headspring Investments in collaboration with O-Space. Over three incredible days, we celebrated innovation, sustainability, and community empowerment in the Omaheke region. The event gathered local officials, community members, and young leaders to exchange ideas, inspire action, and spark lasting change.

On the first day, the campaign kicked off with an introduction to the operations of O-Space. This was followed by an engaging presentation from Aldo Hengari, where he shared updates on our “Project Wings,” mining exploration progress, and the revolutionary ISR method—a big leap forward for sustainable mining. We were thrilled to connect with the audience and share our commitment to working hand-in-hand with communities to build a brighter, sustainable future. The day reached an emotional high when the Leonardville youth, involved in the Nuwehoop Project, shared inspiring journey in building thriving agricultural enterprises. Their stories reflected the transformative potential of grassroots initiatives and the importance of empowering young minds. We wrapped up the day on a motivational note with a rousing talk from the Young African Football Club coach, encouraging everyone to chase their dreams with passion and persistence.

Day two built on this momentum with a focus on collaboration and growth. A speaker from the EMAN Group led a thought-provoking session, followed by a lively Q&A, where community members actively participated and shared their perspectives. Honorable Natalia Goagoses gave a heartfelt speech about the importance of local involvement and community-driven projects for a sustainable future. Later, we took the group to see the Farm Nuwehoop project up close—a chance to witness innovation in action and see how these efforts are making a real difference.

On the final day, the campaign combined knowledge sharing with cultural celebration and hands-on experiences. Aldo Hengari delivered another impactful presentation, setting the stage for the Leonardville Youth Choir to captivate us with their vibrant performance. Then, it was time for some real action—tours of our lab and mining site, where participants saw firsthand the cutting-edge technologies and sustainable practices driving our operations. The day concluded with a friendly soccer match between the Young African and Leonardville teams—a joyful celebration of unity and teamwork.

The Omaheke Awareness Campaign was more than just an event—it was a celebration of shared aspirations, a demonstration of innovation, and a testament to the power of community. We at Headspring Investments are proud to have hosted this transformative initiative, standing firm in our commitment to innovation, sustainability, and creating a future where everyone thrives. Together, we’re proving that when communities and companies come together, anything is possible!
