The background to the video was that Uranium One Group brought some Christmas cheer to the most vulnerable people in the Aminius Villages. Besides hosting some elderly people with a Christmas lunch, Uranium One gave gifts to the elderly. These gifts were Uranium One branded bags, t-shirts and caps. Additionally, the elderly received perfume and radios. In total more than 100 of these gift hampers were handed out.

Learning of this gesture, two activists went to some of the elderly recipients and coerced them to “return” their gifts.

Uranium One Group condemns such appalling cheap tactics just to make it look as if there is mass resistance to the proposed mining operations. This stunt that was pulled has proven that people will not even spare the most vulnerable section of society, just as long as what they do serve their narrow-minded, selfish agendas.
